Affordable Housing
Affordable housing is at a crisis level in Richmond and the rest of the Commonwealth. Our speakers, Delegate Betsy Carr (78th District) and Laura Lafayette- CEO of the Richmond Association of REALTORS® addressed foundational questions around affordable housing.
What is affordable housing? How do we create more? What are different solutions (mundane to creative) to remedy this problem? What impact does lack of affordable housing have on our community’s social structure and our economic base? What can we do to move the needle?
Trans Youth Policy
Narissa Rahaman, Executive Director of Equality Virginia, led an important discussion of policy issues involved in the latest wave of anti-trans legislation.
