Youth Ministry

Bo Cresswell

Bo loves St. Paul’s and is committed to creating a safe, welcoming space in which our young people will learn, grow, and cultivate meaningful connections with God and with the church.

2023-2024 Youth Ministry Calendar

Building upon the foundations laid in our Children’s Ministry programs, we offer the youth of our parish (6th-12th graders) an inclusive space where they can begin to explore and articulate their own faith journey as well as build Christian community with their peers. We gather weekly on Sunday mornings. Youth are also engaged in mission outreach and fun activities.

YOUTH FORMATION

(6th – 12th grade) is offered during our 9 AM formation hour. Connect with others, study the Bible, discuss important topics.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP

(9th – 12th grade) is offered on the third Sunday of each month after the 10 AM worship service.

First Meeting October 15!

YOUTH CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which candidates express a mature commitment to Christ and are confirmed into the Episcopal Church. Prior to a Bishop’s visitation, we offer a class led by our clergy.

YOUTH SERVING IN WORSHIP

Youth are invited to participate in roles during worship in addition to singing in the choir. These include being an Acolyte or an Usher, serving with the Altar Guild, or, once Confirmed, serving as a Lay Reader/Eucharistic Minister.

LIBERATION VETERANS SERVICE

A quarterly volunteer opportunity for youth and their families to cook, serve and eat a meal with the veterans who are utilizing LVS’s services.

PRAYER PARTNERS

Matches children and youth with an adult to build faith mentor relationships.
