On Saturday, December 8th @ 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m, the St. Paul’s Youngish Adults will be participating in the East End Cemetery Clean Up. This event was coordinated by Chris Graham.
The East End Cemetery is “the final resting place of an estimated 13,000 people, among them some of the most prominent black Richmonders of the turn of the 20th century.” However, due to “decades of neglect,” many of their graves have become obfuscated by trash, weeds, and other refuse. You can make a difference, like the small bands of committed volunteers who have begun cleaning up the cemetery, by joining us for a few hours to untangle vines and uncover valuable Richmond history! Plus, stay afterwards to go and get some pizza and/or a beverage with us at Triple Crossing in Fulton!Read More
