2021 Lenten Lunches To-Go | March 3rd and March 17th

Please don’t forget us! According to our calculations, 2021 is the 99th year of the St. Paul’s Lenten Lunch program, and the first full year with no in-person dining…but for those of you who can’t imagine a Lent without cheese soufflé – you are in luck! The loyal soufflé bakers led by Joni Dray have been pressed into service and will be making pans of cheesy goodness for just TWO Wednesdays this Lent. Served with delicious side salads and bread prepared by our cook team leader Peggy Guy, this Lenten Lunch will definitely be “Food for the Journey.” In addition, Iralin and Steven Peple will be making Mrs. O’Hara’s pound cake for your sweet tooth!

All you need to do is place your order in advance, using our handy online order form for each day or contacting Carter Johann at 804-545-5401 to submit your order (all orders must be pre-paid). When the Lenten Lunch pick-up day arrives – come to St. Paul’s to pick up your meal (delivery option available for residents of Westminster-Canterbury and Imperial Plaza). Please note that meals will not be served hot, but pre-packaged and the hot food items will need to be heated up. You can of course enjoy the day of pick up or save it to eat as you watch the Lenten Speaker Series the following Thursday night.

In order to keep things simple and safe for our very small group of volunteers and St. Paul’s staff, the soufflé will be available as a complete lunch only. The lunch will serve one and will be $9.00 (same price as last year); a slice of pound cake will be available for an additional $2.00.

Come to the church between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. March 3rd and March 17th to pick up your Lenten cheese soufflé lunch to go!

Orders will close one week in advance and must be paid for in advance: February 24th for pick-up on March 3rd and March 10th for pick-up on March 17th.

We have a different order form for each pickup. Make sure to use the correct one. Orders must be pre-paid.
