Exploring “The Wisdom Jesus” through Book Discussion and Meditation

Dates: Tuesday Evenings @ 6:00-7:30 p.m.
February 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th
(Inclement Weather Backup Date, if necessary: March 3rd)

Join a group of seekers for four sessions of meditation practice and to read and discuss The Wisdom Jesus by Cynthia Bourgeault. Our focus for this group will be Part One—The Teachings of Jesus—from “The Wisdom Jesus.” Each week, we will enjoy a light supper, meditate and discuss several chapters of Bourgeault’s book. We will gather for a light supper at 6:00 p.m. in the Atrium (1st floor of the Parish House) and then the practice and discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Palmore Room (2nd floor of the Parish House).

From the cover of the book: “If you put aside what you think you know about Jesus and approach the Gospels as though for the first time, something remarkable happens: Jesus emerges as a teacher of the transformation of consciousness. Cynthia Bourgeault is a masterful guide to Jesus’s vision and to the traditional contemplative practices you can use to experience the heart of his teachings for yourself.”
