St. Francis Day & Blessing of the Animals | Saturday, Oct. 3rd @ 4:00 p.m.

Join us for an OUTDOOR, IN-PERSON celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis (transferred), patron saint of animals and the environment, with a short service of Thanksgiving for Creation and Blessing the Animals!

This service will take place at Capitol Square next to the Bell Tower. Please park in the St. Paul’s parking garage and enter into Capitol Square at the corner of Bank St. and 9th. Very well-behaved dogs on leashes welcome, as well as other pets in carriers. For those of you who are unable to attend in person, please email a picture with the name of your pet to Rev. Gwynn to be blessed during the service. All COVID-19 health safety practices are required, including both human and pet social distancing, wearing face masks (humans only 😊), and proper sanitization. There will be no chairs provided, but there are benches in the area and you can bring your own chair. We will live stream the service through Facebook. Click here to view our COVID Safety Page for Outdoor Gatherings.
