Confirmation

Confirmation marks the occasion on which a Bishop of the Diocese comes to lay hands on those who have made a decision to be members of the Episcopal Church. As well as an opportunity to renew the promised made at baptism, the laying on of hands itself symbolizes the spiritual connection between Jesus and the church today stretching over two thousand years. Young people 16 or older are invited to make a conscious decision to adopt the way of life offered to them as children, and adults joining the Episcopal Church may also be confirmed. If you are interested in confirmation, please feel free to reach out to the Rev. Charlie Dupree, our rector; the Rev. Rainey Dankel, our interim associate rector; or Keli Cooper, our Minister for Faith Formation.
