FACILITATOR BIO – Rev. Bill Roberts
The Rev. William Bradley Roberts, DMA, is professor emeritus of church music at Virginia Theological Seminary. Prior to VTS, Bill was an Episcopal church musician for over thirty-five years. He is a composer, primarily of choral music, and author of the book Music and Vital Congregations. He and his husband David Hoover moved to Richmond three years ago, when Bill retired from VTS, in order to be nearer their son Seth Roberts, M.D., and his family. Bill does frequent workshops around the country and conducts the professional choral group Vox Humana, but his favorite area is helping others connect with the Holy Spirit in meditation.

Join Charlie as he explores the rites, music, imagery, and poetry of the Episcopal tradition to unlock the subtle holiness of sun and moon, and how you can incorporate them into your own patterns of living and prayer.

Join Us Online for a Special Christmas Eve/Christmas Celebration!

You can find our Service Bulletin with the order of service HERE.

We wanted to capture the spirit of Christmas in a meaningful way during this season when we are unable to all gather together in person. We know it is hard not to gather in person but hope this offering will invite you and your family into the holiness and joy of this season, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and his message of hope, peace, and love for our world.

Join us as we usher in the Christmas Season with the premiere of our Christmas Eve/Christmas film. Below are a couple of ways you can watch the service:

  • Participate with the St. Paul’s family! We will host a viewing or “Watch” party on Facebook. This option is similar to Facebook Live and allows you to watch this pre-recorded video in real-time with others from St. Paul’s at the appointed times below. (Note: this is the same service just viewed at different times) – www.facebook.com/stpaulsrva.
    • Christmas Eve, December 24th @ 4:00 p.m. on Facebook
    • Christmas Eve, December 24th @ 9:00 p.m. on Facebook
    • Christmas Day, December 25th @ 10:00 a.m. on Facebook
  • Watch anytime! The Christmas video will be accessible on our YouTube Channel, on Facebook, and above on our website starting at 3:55 p.m. on Christmas Eve through the entire Christmas Season. Pop popcorn, mull some cider or make a little hot cocoa and gather around the Christmas tree to watch at a time that is convenient for you or re-watch whenever you want.
