Minister for Church Giving

St Paul's Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia is searching for a development and fund raising professional to be our new Minister for Giving.  This part-time leadership position will collaborate with the clergy, staff, and church members to bolster the stewardship activities and perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Update and manage the membership giving data bases (in ACS and Excel)
  • With the Annual Giving Chair(s), staff the annual giving campaign.
  • Coordinate and support stewardship initiatives with the initial focus to be on the annual giving campaign, but to eventually grow to encompass a full-fledged development program.
  • Ensure the web site, e giving, and all technology related financial giving methods are easy to use, and are properly supporting all giving initiatives.
  • Initiate, develop, coordinate, and execute all stewardship communications including electronic and paper communications. 
  • Be the point person for all giving related inquiries, follow up, suggestions, and activities.   
  • Serve as staff liaison for all the church’s Ministry Committees involved in financial giving initiatives.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have at least two to three years of development experience.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Sexton

Part Time Maintenance and Housekeeping Employee (Sexton)

St. Paul's Episcopal Church is seeking a part time employee to perform simple maintenance and all housekeeping tasks (position title is Sexton) including:

  • Providing coverage and security for all church property
  • Daily opening and closing of the buildings
  • All housekeeping tasks and maintaining a clean environment throughout the church complex
  • Setting up and breaking down meetings, parish functions and special events;
  • Ensuring that all the buildings are ready at all times; assisting volunteers and staff as needed.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience in housekeeping management and building maintenance. Flexibility in work schedule, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with others.

Weekend and a few evenings may be required.
