What to expect
St. Paul’s uses The Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal 1982. All are welcome to participate fully in worship and to receive Communion. On Sundays, we offer three worship services in the church.
At 7:45 a.m., we celebrate the Holy Eucharist (Communion) using Rite I in The Book of Common Prayer. This is a simple service of prayer and Eucharist (without music.)
At 9:00 a.m., we celebrate Holy Eucharist, Rite II. In this service, all are invited to gather around the altar after the Peace for the celebration of Holy Communion. After the Blessing, there is a Celebration Circle during which anyone may share personal news with the community. Music is drawn from the hymnal, Wonder Love and Praise, and the St. Paul’s Songbook, and is accompanied by piano, guitar, bass, and organ.
At 11:15 a.m. we celebrate Holy Eucharist, Rite II. The congregation receives communion at the altar rail. Everyone joins in the hymns and service music, which are accompanied by the organ, while some music is sung by the choir alone. There are short, reflective silences after scripture readings and the sermon.
On weekdays in the chapel, we offer noonday worship at 12:05 p.m. which includes the celebration of Holy Eucharist.
