Friends from Mwitikira visit St. Paul's

2cd80bc4-edd2-4828-ad05-043baae28bea.jpgDuring the month of March, two dear friends of St. Paul's, Father Erasto Ndahani and his wife Rebecca, will visit Richmond from Mwitikira, Tanzania. This will be their second visit with us--and we are thrilled to have them back!

Father Erasto is Priest at St. Andrew's Church in the village of Mwitikira, a village of about 6000 people on a high plain in central Tanzania. Since 2007, St. Paul's has been partners with the village through The Carpenter's Kids initiative. You can read more about St. Paul's Involvement with The Carpenter's Kids here.

One goal for this visit is to show our two friends what our day to day lives are like at St. Paul's. As Erasto and Rebecca spend time with parishioners, staff, and friends of St. Paul's, we'd love for you to consider what you might share about yourself, your family, ministries you're involved in, your faith journey, your work, or just your day to day life. We hope that these experience will lead the parish into a deeper relationship with these leaders in the community of Mwitikira, and by extension, with the community itself.

If you feel called to participate in this welcome effort, you are encouraged to contact Cindy Wofford (804-928-5395) to schedule activities. A list of ideas and suggestions for activities can be found below. For most of the visit, our guests will stay with parishioner Suzanne Johnson. Suzanne and others will gladly provide transportation to meet you if needed.

The Ndahanis are energetic, adventuresome, delightful people. We are thrilled to have them with us until March 30, and hope you will join us in extending a warm St. Paul's welcome.
