Life is better connected. Whether it be at a block party on the street outside St. Paul's, discussing Buddhist wisdom in a book group, or over a beer at Young Adult Trivia Night, it's important that we spend time outside of worship connecting with one another.

PRESiding Bishop visits!

March 10- 11, 2018: The Most Reverend Michael B. Curry, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, will be visiting St. Paul’s to to share, to witness, and to encourage the work we’re doing as part of the HRI initiative. Doors will open at 3 pm on the 10th.  Expect to hear about the history of St. Paul’s as well as community faith leaders reflecting on the legacy of racism in Richmond. There will be a box dinner. On the 11th, the Presiding Bishop will join us (along with Bishop Shannon) for Eucharist, where he will preach and encourage us. Come and participate in this delightful opportunity!


Please join us for our 2018 Shrine Mont Parish Retreat on Friday, April 13th through Sunday, April 15th. This will be a time to get to know other members of our church family as we spend time in the mountains with one another-- sharing our stories, participating in workshops, and worshipping with one another. One Voice Chorus

Take courage, my soul: Spirituals of Strength: Saturday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church (2709 Monument Avenue) The call to action, “Take courage my soul, and let us journey on...” sets the theme for the upcoming One Voice Chorus concert of inspiring spirituals featuring the music of composers Moses Hogan, Rollo Dilworth, Barbara Baker and Alice Parker, who at age 93 is still actively composing and conducting. Please join in our mission of racial reconciliation and healing in the city of Richmond as we lift our voices to sing the beauty and power of diversity. Concert passes ($15) are available from chorus members, at the door the evening of the concert or on-line at: All are welcomed at this uplifting evening of strength in song.

Youth group  yard sale

Save the date and save your stuff!!! It’s been a few years, but the Youth Group Yard sale is back!!! Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. All proceeds will support the summer 2018 youth pilgrimage. In April, we will have storage space for you to drop off your donations and youth will be available to pick up donations.  Further details will be coming in April.Contact Jennine Sherrill ( or Laura Carr ( for more information. 

Easter Egg Hunt

We are getting ready for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of Capitol Square at 10 a.m. on  Easter Sunday. There will be baskets outside the Scott Hall for donations of wrapped treats and filled eggs. There will also be individual bags of empty eggs that can filled and returned.
